Is the estimate really free?
Yes. The in-home visit and the written estimate are free. No obligation, no pressure.
Are you insured?
TKN Flooring is insured.
How long does installation take?
Most rooms take 1–3 days. Larger areas, stairs and subfloor repairs add time; your written proposal includes the schedule.
Do you guarantee your work?
Yes. Our workmanship warranty is written into your proposal.
How much does hardwood flooring cost?
The price depends on the wood (solid or engineered, species and width), the size and layout of the rooms, the condition of the subfloor, and stairs or transitions. Removal and disposal of the old floor are charged separately and itemized in your proposal. You get an exact written price after the free visit.
Do I need to move furniture?
Tell us whether the rooms are furnished. How furniture will be handled is agreed in writing in your proposal.
Can you install over my existing floor?
It depends on the existing floor and the subfloor under it. Some floating floors can go over a flat, solid floor; others need the old floor removed. We check at the free visit and tell you what’s right for your home.
Which floors do you install?
Hardwood, laminate and vinyl plank (LVP), plus stairs. Not sure which one fits? Choose “Not sure yet” in the form and we’ll recommend options after reviewing your space. If you have a brand in mind, tell us and we’ll check availability.
Do I need exact measurements?
No. A rough size helps, and you can choose “I need a measurement”. We confirm the measurements during the site visit.
Do you remove the old floor?
Yes, when the job needs it. Removal and disposal of the old floor are charged separately and are not included in the installation price. Tell us what floor is there now; the cost is itemized in your written proposal before any work starts.
Why do you need a site visit?
Photos help us prepare, but the final price depends on measurements, the subfloor, moisture and access. Tayson checks these in person before we confirm the price and dates.
Is cleanup included?
Yes. Cleanup after the flooring work is included in every flooring service: we clean the area we worked in, including installation dust and debris. It does not cover areas we didn’t work in. Post-construction cleaning is a separate service, with its own scope and written price. Removing and disposing of the old floor is not part of the cleanup; it is charged separately and itemized in your proposal. On whole-home projects, the scope of the final clean is written into your proposal.
